HOY en Delaware

Founded in 1996, HOY en Delaware is the largest and longest serving Hispanic publication in the “First State”, covering and distributing all over the 3 counties: New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties. Plus several border towns in Maryland (Salisbury, Cambridge, Easton and Marydel) and Pennsylvania (Kennett Square and Greater Philadelphia area). HOY en Delaware reflects the hopes, aspirations and challenges facing a community comprised of immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, Caribe, Central America and other nations in Delaware’s Latino diaspora. It goes much farther than merely reporting on events, it bridges the gap between the Anglo and Latino communities, it informs the Latino community about health events, changes to immigration laws, scholarship opportunities and ways to improve the financial well being of our community, including the access to housing. HOY en Delaware aims at being a bridge of understanding among all inhabitants in the state. The first issue was printed in June 1996. HOY en Delaware is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP), the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware Press Association.
