Rep. Jason Knight on Wednesday introduced a resolution condemning “aggressive and violent” enforcement tactics used by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

The resolution from the Barrington Democrat condemns the military-style raids and arrests ICE has carried out nationwide since the start of President Donald Trump’s second term in 2025. Knight said the tactics of ICE agents are aimed not at apprehending criminals, but at “scaring people in our community.”
