MOUNT VERNON — Controversial proposed agritourism regulations scored a recommendation from Skagit Planning Commissioners after hours of grueling deliberations on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Next, the code will go to the county Board of Commissioners for approval. Among its stipulations, the proposal includes a requirement that agritourism is a farm’s secondary use, and a minimum income that must come from farming as opposed to tourism for certain kinds of operations.
