An Alabama House committee Tuesday approved a $3.7 billion General Fund budget for 2027 with minor changes over a Senate-passed version.

SB 146, sponsored by Sen. Greg Albritton, R-Atmore, was increased by $12.6 million by the House Ways and Means General Fund committee. This is a 0.003% increase from the Senate’s version of the budget.
