The Alabama House of Representatives Thursday passed a bill that would require app stores to have age verifications for minors.

HB 161, sponsored by Chris Sells, R-Greenville, requires app store providers to take action regarding age verification, parental notification and data protection. It passed the chamber on a 103-0 vote.
