The Oversight Commission on Opioid Settlement Funds Wednesday approved a plan to request $43.1 million in the supplemental General Fund budget.

The supplemental appropriation will move through the Legislature with the General Fund budget, which Reynolds expects to be ready for consideration the first week of March. About 60% of the appropriation will go to the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH), and $8.9 million of its appropriation will go to Prevention, Treatment, Recovery Grants. …
