The Alabama Senate on Wednesday passed a bill allowing schools to stock and administer single-dose premeasured epinephrine.

HB 533, sponsored by Rep. Margie Wilcox, R-Mobile, allows the use of such epinephrine in addition to single-dose auto-injectable epinephrine, or an EpiPen. The premeasured epinephrine is a nasal spray, known as Neffy. Sen. April Weaver, R-Hoover, a nurse, carried the bill in the Senate.
