Anti-abortion lawmakers and activists are channeling their frustration over the legalization of the procedure in Arizona into proposals that would mandate public schools educate kids based on their personal beliefs, while banning information they oppose.

In 2024, voters in the Grand Canyon State overwhelmingly passed Proposition 139, a citizen-led ballot initiative which enshrined the right to abortion into the Arizona Constitution. Majorities of voters in all 30 legislative districts backed the constitutional amendment.
