Arkansas is expected to end the current fiscal year with a $334.4 million surplus, the state’s top finance official said Friday, adjusting the state’s budget forecast.

The higher expected surplus figure from Department of Finance and Administration Secretary Jim Hudson marks an increase from the adjusted forecast released last summer for the budget year that ends June 30. In May, Hudson lowered the surplus forecast to $185.1 million .
