The Arkansas Senate honored the late Sen. Gary Stubblefield Tuesday with a memorial resolution and painting of the Branch Republican.

Waldron Republican Sen. Terry Rice presented the resolution, which recounted Stubblefield’s 15 years of service in the Legislature. After one term in the Arkansas House, Stubblefield was elected to the Senate in 2012 where he served until he died at the age of 74 last September.
