FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Senate’s version of the state budget proposal keeps cuts made by the House to tobacco cessation.

Barring any changes, the legislature will put just shy of $1.8 million in the 2026-2027 fiscal year and about $1.6 million in the 2027-2028 year into tobacco cessation efforts.

The 2024 budget allocated nearly $1.9 million for 2024-2025 and $2 million in the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
