An Auburn firefighter is making a run for the state Legislature.

Democrat Mike Scott announced his candidacy for Maine Senate District 20, which includes Auburn, Durham, New Gloucester and Poland, on Wednesday. He plans to retire from the Auburn Fire Department in February after 30 years of service.
