NEWPORT, N.H. ― The ceiling of the Richards School has been the home of hundreds of big brown bats, but Superintendent Donna Magoon announced that bat proofing has been completed with hopes that they will all be out by the end of the summer.

“All gaps and cracks have been filled, and the trap doors are in place,” Magoon said at the May 8 SAU 43 School Board meeting.
