Four policy bills intended to get North Dakota more federal rural health care grant money have cleared their first hurdle in the statehouse.

Lawmakers on Wednesday kicked off a special session to authorize the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services to administer the Rural Health Transformation Program.

As part of their work in Bismarck this week, legislators will vote on the four policies incentivized by the Trump administration.
