OLYMPIA — A bill that would require school board directors to receive training in school district finances has passed the state Senate.

SB 6247 is one of two bills that state Sen. Perry Dozier, R-Waitsburg, introduced this session with lessons learned from Prescott School District’s financial turmoil in mind.
