Stay off the roads.

That was Gov. Dan McKee’s message to all Rhode Islanders as a nor’easter with “peak blizzard conditions” shut down the state Monday.

“This storm is significant,” he told reporters gathered at the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency’s Cranston headquarters Monday morning. “It’s one of the most impactful storms we’ve seen in several years, and I’m asking for Rhode Islanders to take this storm seriously.”
