Jewish Boiseans gathered with the broader community this weekend to celebrate the formal installation of a new rabbi and the restoration of their historic Torah scrolls.

Johanna Hershenson is the second rabbi at Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel. Founded in 1895, the congregation did not have a permanent rabbi until Daniel Fink joined in 1994.
