President Donald Trump appointed a south Arkansas circuit judge to a federal judgeship, he announced in a Tuesday social media post.

Trump nominated John Thomas Shepherd, currently a circuit judge in El Dorado in Arkansas’ 13th Judicial Circuit. His jurisdiction is Ouachita, Calhoun, Cleveland, Columbia, Dallas and Union counties.
