CONCORD — A federal grand jury indicted a 45-year-old Claremont man last week on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with an alleged shootout in Claremont in April 2025.

Gerald Hayden “was involved in a shootout with another individual during a drug dispute in Claremont, N.H., in April of 2025,” the United States Attorney’s Office of New Hampshire alleged in a Tuesday news release.
