Corey Hill won Tuesday’s Republican primary runoff for commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, defeating Christina Woerner Mcinnis for the party’s nomination.

As of 9:33 p.m., Hill, the mayor of Douglas in Marshall County, had 126,167 votes (53.8%) to Mcinnis’ 108,438 votes (46.2%) in unofficial returns. The Alabama Republican Party Tuesday evening declared Hill the winner of the nomination.

Hill said in an interview Tuesday evening winning the nomination was “exciting.”
