CHENEY – Eastern Washington University students pursuing bachelor’s degrees will be required to complete at least one applied learning experience before graduating.

The new graduation requirement takes effect at the beginning of the 2027-28 academic year after being approved earlier this month.

According to the university, the requirement is intended to ensure undergraduate students gain hands-on experience that connects classroom learning with real-world situations.
