In almost six years as New Jersey’s acting comptroller, Kevin Walsh has issued more than 100 reports and audits revealing public fraud, waste, and abuse that cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

In each, he handed lawmakers evidence of corruption and a roadmap for reform, listing recommendations that typically require legislative action. But legislators too often ignored his recommendations and sometimes even acted to undermine his work, Walsh said.
