Roadwork ahead of a long-term closure on State Route 116 in Jefferson County began Aug. 5, with drivers seeing one-way alternating traffic between Shotwell Place and Chimacum Creek Drive.

“This is in order to remove the existing culvert under SR 116 and install a larger fish-friendly version,” PUD Community Outreach Coordinator Jameson Hawn said.
