Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has selected Lee Mallett, one of his largest campaign donors, to chair the LSU Board of Supervisors.

Mallett replaces Scott Ballard, who will remain on the board after stepping down as chair. Ballard was recently announced as the next chairman of Leaders for a Better Louisiana, a civic organization formed by the 2025 merger of the Committee of 100 for Louisiana and the Council for a Better Louisiana.
