Chedrick Greene and Jason Tunney won the Democratic and Republican nominations, respectively, in the primary for the special election in Michigan’s 35th State Senate district on Tuesday night. The Associated Press called the election at 11:04 p.m. for Greene. Approximately 50 minutes later, unofficial results showed Tunney had taken the GOP nomination.

The results are unofficial until certified by election canvassers.
