Iowans will celebrate the Independence Day holiday this weekend with fireworks, festivals and carnivals as communities mark the U.S.’s 250th anniversary.

While many Iowa celebrations will take place Friday and Saturday, some communities, including Clear Lake and Urbandale, will have multi-day events featuring live entertainment, family activities and patriotic festivities.
