State regulators are considering tweaking the default option for homeowners who have a dispute with their community association. A proposal before the Nevada Real Estate Division’s Common-Interest Communities Task Force would favor arbitration over mediation and a referee program, which some homeowner advocates say is the most beneficial option to homeowners, but the least lucrative for attorneys.
