Hoosier politicians flock to White House for IU football championship celebration

A contingent of Hoosier Republicans traveled to Washington for a White House celebration recognizing Indiana University football’s national championship season.

Social media posts showed numerous state lawmakers, federal officials and political candidates mingling Monday on the White House grounds and inside meetings with members of President Donald Trump’s administration.

The event celebrated a perfect season for Hoosiers, who defeated the Miami Hurricanes in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in January.
