FRANKFORT — An amendment added to an advancing bill Friday by Kentucky House Speaker David Osborne would override the state wildlife management agency’s efforts to regulate wake boats on rivers and lakes throughout Kentucky.

Osborne, R-Prospect, successfully added the amendment to Senate Bill 39, sponsored by Republican Sen. Gary Boswell, which would exempt private landowners from regulations on the taking of fish from ponds on their private land.
