Unfortunately, the ongoing occupation of the Twin Cities by federal immigration agents has often resembled a military conflict zone. A few weeks ago, Trump administration official Tom Homan described federal agents under his authority as being “in theater,” implying combat with everyday Minnesotans. That’s an unfortunate dynamic given the fact that agents are occupying some neighborhoods that were seeing record low levels of crime.
