Though several members of Early Childhood Iowa boards spoke against the measure, a bill making changes to the state’s governing system for providing support to early childhood programs advanced through a House subcommittee and committee meeting Tuesday.

House Study Bill 623 was passed by the House Health and Human Services Committee Tuesday in an 11-10 vote.
