Nevada made modest improvements to the child poverty rate and teen birth rates in recent years, but the state was still among the worst in the nation when it comes to the overall well-being of children, according to the latest Kids Count report.

Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Kids Count Data Book, which was released Monday, assessed factors around economic well-being, education, health, and family and community, and found Nevada ranks 46th in the nation.
