Federal Election Commission filings released Thursday underscore that whoever replaces Graham Platner as the Democratic nominee in Maine’s U.S. Senate race will be at a massive financial disadvantage to incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins.

Collins has continued to grow her reserves, while Platner, who dropped out of the race earlier this month, had raised millions over the last quarter but ultimately saw a decrease in available cash as his campaign burned through money.
