The Maine Legislature officially adjourned late Tuesday, one day before the scheduled last day of session. However, several pieces of legislation remain in limbo and the path forward for those bills remains unclear.

Speaker of the House Ryan Fecteau (D-Biddeford) said the intention is to take up those matters on April 29, what’s called “veto day,” when the Legislature reconvenes to vote on whether to sustain or override the governor’s vetoes after statutory adjournment.
