Jefferson County voters approved Proposition 1, securing six years of funding for parks, recreation programs and community facilities, while early primary results continued to come into focus in local and state races following the latest ballot count.

As of 4:55 p.m. Aug. 10, 15,426 ballots — about 53% of Jefferson County’s 28,995 registered voters — had been counted. Election results will be certified Aug. 18.
