RITZVILLE – A Lind town councilwoman was killed in a two-car crash on U.S. Highway 395 on Friday, April 17.

Betty M. “Chuckie” Harris, 77, of Lind, was pronounced dead about 3:36 p.m. at the scene of the crash near Milepost 91, about 5 miles south of Ritzville, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Harris was southbound in a 2005 Honda Civic when she stopped in the highway and was hit from behind by a 2019 …
