The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is investigating a manure spill into a stream connected to the South Skunk River in Hamilton County, the department announced Monday.

The DNR office was notified Saturday by Hovick Hauling, a certified manure applicator, of the spill, which occurred near the intersection of 320th Street and Vail Avenue, northeast of Ellsworth.
