Hillary Scholten (D-Grand Rapids) introduced a pair of bills which would establish and annual survey for data center operators to report their water and energy usage, and require the U.S. Department of Defense to update its data center efficiency requirements to ensure new facilities utilize cooling technology that reduces their impact on water resources.
