New data released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services show that fewer Montanans — and Americans overall — have signed up for health plans through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace.

According to Commissioner of Securities and Insurance James Brown, 77,221 Montanans signed up for Marketplace coverage for the 2025 plan year. But the latest CMS data shows that 73,255 Montanans had signed up for the current plan year, a roughly 6% decline. …
