West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey on Tuesday celebrated two new state laws honoring veterans and their families.

Morrisey held a ceremonial signing ceremony in Wheeling, West Virginia, for Senate Bill 467 and House Bill 4437.

SB 467 establishes enforceable penalties for unauthorized vehicles parked in designated Purple Heart parking spaces. HB 4437 extends the state’s existing vehicle registration fee waiver for Gold Star spouses to include surviving Gold Star parents.
