Gov. Patrick Morrisey is wading into the primary races for the West Virginia Legislature, which is overwhelmingly Republican.

Morrisey announced on social media Tuesday his endorsement of Jonathan Comer, a Baptist pastor in Lewisburg running for West Virginia Senate District 10. He’s running against Sen. Vince Deeds, R-Greenbrier, who has held the seat since 2022 and is also a Baptist pastor.
