The detection of the pseudorabies virus in a swine herd in central Iowa this week was an isolated incident that has been contained, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig said Friday.

Naig and State Veterinarian Jeff Kaisand emphasized in a news conference Friday that there is no danger to human health or food safety from the virus.
