MANCHESTER, NH — Four years ago, Nashua resident Ken Heideman walked into a New Hampshire convenience store carrying a bag filled with $20 and $100 bills he had withdrawn from his savings account.

Then he fed $30,000 into a cryptocurrency kiosk.
