DAYTON — Kelsey Gabel, a regular at Columbia County Rural Library District Board of Trustees meetings, will now attend them as a trustee himself.

The county commissioners have appointed the 31-year-old Dayton resident to fill the vacancy left by trustee Jay Ball, whose second five-year term ended March 31. Trustees may only serve two, full five-year terms, according to district bylaws.
