Lawmakers celebrated Black leaders and their contributions to New Mexico Friday as part of African American Day at the Roundhouse.

Rep. Pamelya Herndon (D-Albuquerque) took the occasion to honor a group she dubbed the “talented 10” — 10 Black women leaders in government and civic organizations whom she invited to the House floor.
