Dozens of advocates and attendees celebrated the sixth annual Indigenous Women’s Day at the Roundhouse and gathered in the rotunda Monday to “wrap one another in protection.”

“We’re celebrating the lives of indigenous women, the stewards of land, the backbones of our communities,” Ashley Sarracino (Laguna/Acoma), an event organizer, told Source NM.
