An Iowa nurse accused of identity theft and job abandonment has had her license placed on probation.

State records show that in September 2025, registered nurse Jamie Lyn Jorgensen, 38, of Ankeny, provided her employer with a series of notes, purportedly signed by her physician, to excuse her from work obligations. The notes and signatures were later determined to have been forged, according to the Iowa Board of Nursing.
