Northern Nevada transportation officials are looking into the feasibility of using existing rail lines along Interstate-80 to support commuter rail service from Downtown Reno to the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.

The study – funded by public dollars and private industry, including Tesla – is expected to be completed in the early part of this year.
