State and federal lawmakers representing Iowa shared their sympathy for a slain Iowan soldier Tuesday evening after the U.S. Defense Department identified four of the six U.S. soldiers killed by an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait on March 1.

Each of the identified soldiers was assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command in Des Moines, the department stated, including West Des Moines resident Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20.
