PETERBOROUGH — On a bright, breezy Sunday morning in July, butternut squash and white pumpkins at Rosaly’s Garden and Farmstand in Peterborough are just beginning to grow.

It’s the first signs of the autumn harvest to come. It also means Alexandra Walker, the farm’s primary owner, can begin crafting the fall setup for the farmstand. It’s because of this that pumpkins are her favorite crop, she said.
